Our process works.
A clear, easy to follow and proven process is one of the most important things when taking on a new custom home or major renovation project. Our process guides you through our initial meeting, to handing the keys back over and beyond.
Initial Consultation
This is where you tell our team about your dream home and we will provide you with initial budgetary pricing based off of a sqf price. We would discuss the size of the house, how many floors, what style of architecture and interior/exterior finishes. This is also your opportunity to find out more about us!
Pre-construction
Once you are confident you would like to work with Ravenwood we would enter into a pre-construction contract. In this stage you will work closely with our designers to create your floor plan, mechanical plan and complete your interior and exterior finishes packages. With this information we are able to provide you with an updated quote for the construction of your actual home.
Construction Sign Off
Once the details have been agreed upon, we enter into a construction contract. With this construction contract, we are able to apply for permits, start ordering material and scheduling construction.
Begin Building
Once all permits are in place, we are able to begin construction of your home on your property. During construction, you will be kept informed through scheduled site meetings to review progress and discuss construction timelines and milestones.
Completion
At the completion of your project we conduct a final walk through with you to discuss your home's features and operation. Your home is also registered with Progressive new home warranty which provides peace of mind knowing you are covered if your home did require any warranty claims.
Payment Schedule
For new home construction, banks will prove what is called a construction mortgage. Construction mortgages provide payments based off of the work that is completed. We work closely with all banks and credit unions to accommodate their requirements. How money draws typically work is as follows. 10% down payment upon signing construction agreement, 25% after foundation, 25% after lock out, 30% after prime and the last 10% at completion.
Site Prep
Review our already laid out check list of trades, and work to be done for when we deliver your new home. We will personally walk you through the steps, and offer any support in preparing your site.
House Move
Our trusted home moving company picks up your home from our yard, and delivers it to your site, laying it on your foundation.
Hook up
Once the house is set on the foundation, Electricians, Plumbers and HVAC crew will be required to hook up the home to the utilities.
Final Touch Ups
Our service crew comes back and does final touch ups, and a professional clean to prepare you for your new home.
